Water Restrictions for Charlotte NC

  Now that Fall has arrived, it’s peak planting and lawn revitalization season here in Charlotte NC. Since the stress of the summer heat has subsided, it’s the perfect time to give the lawn and yard some much needed attention.

  Last year we had strict water restrictions that hampered the normal fall yard activities.  This year, we still have mandatory water restrictions in place but throughout this year, those have been easing.

  Currently for Charlotte Mecklenburg Utility customers, lawn watering, along with residential car washing and pool/fountain filling is allowed twice per week and is based on street address.

  Odd  numbered homes can water Tuesday and Saturday.

  Even numbered homes can water Thursday and Sunday.

  The current restrictions are in effect through November 30, 2008 and may or may not be adjusted  after that date.
