Winter Weather in Charlotte NC, Cause for Alarm Or A Rare Opportunity?

January 29, 2010

With the possibility of some wintry weather here in Charlotte NC over the next day or so, the media is of course in full “winter storm potential” coverage mode.      The thing is, we don’t really see wintry weather all that often here in Charlotte so when it does (or might) happen, it’s just not an everyday event.    Instead of viewing it as cause for alarm or a cataclysmic event, I choose to look at the potential of some wintry weather as a rare opportunity.     If... Read more →

How To Get “Rich” Quick and Make Your Home A Comfort Zone

March 14, 2009

I read a lot of articles online and just wanted to share a couple I’d come across this week in case anyone else finds them interesting or useful.    How to get rich quick is a post by Jane Woods and it’s not what you might expect from the title but it’s a refreshing perspective.  These days it’s truly easy to focus and get caught up on what’s wrong and depressing while ignoring the things in our lives that we can be grateful for.    The Organized Home blog has... Read more →
